The Story of 15 year old Jonalyn Diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disorder known as Lupus
On January 13, 2024, during a scheduled event in Ilagan City, within the Isabela province, fate led us to meet Jonalyn, a 15-year-old girl battling an autoimmune disorder. Our visit to Jonalyn’s home revealed the harsh reality of her declining health as she lay next to her mother. The sight of their struggle was poignant, as they are part of the city’s lower-income communities, struggling to afford the medical treatments recommended by their physician.
It was Theresa, a dedicated local government worker, who guided us to Jonalyn’s doorstep. Her involvement underscored the gravity of our commitment to societal welfare. At Revoobit Tuguegarao, our core mission extends beyond serving the well-off sectors; it is about ensuring health and wellness for all, especially those who are most in need.
Jonalyn’s condition was identified as Lupus, an autoimmune disease. Her strength had waned to the point where sitting up and engaging in conversation was a struggle. A distinctive “butterfly” skin pigmentation marked her face, a telltale sign of her illness, which had also forced her to halt her schooling.

Promptly and unanimously, our team—comprising Tess, Romeo, Carol, and myself—decided to extend Jonalyn complimentary access to our plant-derived green apple stem cell product. We were united in our belief that Jonalyn is entitled to a life of normalcy and the earliest return to her educational journey. Remarkably, within a span of three months, Jonalyn’s health showed significant improvement. It was a moment of pure elation when she, along with her mother, graced the inauguration of our new Product Hub situated on Maharlikha Highway, Barangay Leonarda, adjacent to Kainang Pilipino. The news of Jonalyn’s swift recovery and her renewed participation in school activities filled us with immense pride.

Lupus, specifically Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect individuals at any age, including children and teenagers. It is more commonly diagnosed during the teenage years, around the average age of 12, which often coincides with puberty and the associated hormonal changes.
In children, Lupus can be particularly severe and may involve multiple organs. The immune system, which normally protects the body from infections, mistakenly attacks healthy tissue, leading to inflammation and damage to various parts of the body, including joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and the brain
Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial in managing Lupus in children to help maintain their quality of life and prevent serious complications. Treatment typically involves medications to reduce immune system activity and manage symptoms, alongside supportive care tailored to the individual’s needs.
